Helpify Community

Helpify Community, established in Switzerland in March 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic, represents a pioneering initiative aimed at fostering solidarity and community support during crises. This de facto association was born from the collective efforts of Olivier, Claire, Benoit, Florence, and Alexandra, who recognized the limitations of existing online solidarity platforms, especially for those uncomfortable with or lacking access to technology.

By creating a system accessible both online and via telephone, Helpify Community ensures that assistance in the form of accommodation, medical help, food, clothes, and more, reaches those in need, termed "People in Need", through the volunteer efforts of the "Helpify Volunteers".

The platform has been instrumental during several major crises, including the COVID-19 pandemic in Belgium, the UK, and Switzerland, the Belgian Flooding of 2021, and more recently, the Ukraine crisis, demonstrating its versatility and effectiveness in crisis response and volunteer coordination.

Helpify Community's operations are marked by several key features: secured volunteering community platforms, emergency phone lines with interactive voice response and language selection, digital platforms for mission collection and volunteer coordination, and a secured Know-Your-Customer process for volunteer reliability and traceability.

These systems collectively enhance the organization's capacity to connect those in need with volunteers ready to provide support, thereby embodying the spirit of community-driven aid.
